CSD Car Price List 2026: All Brands, Eligibility,
Latest CSD car price list 2026 for all brands. See CSD car price vs showroom price, how much you save, EV prices and rank-wise eligibility limits.

You can save anywhere from ₹25,000 to ₹3.47 lakh on your next car purchase through CSD (Canteen Stores Department). But how much exactly you save depends on your rank and the type of car you choose.
Below is the CSD car price list for 2026, where you can see how much of a discount you get on your chosen model.
CSD Car Price List Range in 2026 Overview
Below is one popular model from each segment, with its CSD price set against the regular showroom price so you can see the gap at a glance.

Two things decide your discount, and the sticker price is not one of them. A car gets the 18% GST slab only if it is under four metres long and its engine is under 1,200cc on petrol or 1,500cc on diesel. Fail either test and it goes to 40%.
CSD halves whichever rate applies, so the 40% cars give back more. Look at the Tata Nexon and the Tata Curvv. Same 1,199cc engine, but the Curvv is 313mm longer. That is the only reason it saves you ₹1,35,943 against the Nexon's ₹53,305.
Why is CSD Car Price Lower than the Regular Price?
CSD price is not for civilians. It is for people who are serving or have served in the Indian Armed Forces. The CSD has its own retail network, where it exempts serving personnel from Pay Levels 1 to 18, ex-servicemen, war widows, and defence civilians.
Two things make the price lower:
-
50% GST rebate. Defence buyers pay half the applicable GST rate on the car's basic price.
-
No dealer margin. CSD publishes a fixed rate. There is no negotiation, and no dealer profit loaded on top.
CSD Car Price List of All Brands 2026
I have taken the ex-showroom prices of all the cars. The Eligible from column shows the lowest rank that can buy the base model — the entitlement cap applies to the car's basic price excluding tax, not the ex-showroom figure.

Look at the Fronx and the Brezza. At the showroom the Brezza costs ₹55,000 more. Through CSD the gap is under ₹1,300 — the Brezza's 1.5-litre engine puts it in the 40% slab, and the bigger rebate wipes out almost the whole difference.
Note: Maruti has the longest CSD waiting list of any brand. Fast-moving models like the Brezza and Grand Vitara can take 4–6 months from LS order to delivery.

EV GST is only 5%, so halving it saves under 2%. The CSD benefit on an electric car is access, not discount — an ORs buyer capped at ₹8 lakh basic price for a petrol car can reach a ₹13.50 lakh Kia Syros EV. That headroom is worth far more than the ₹25,714 rebate.
CSD adds EV models to the AFD list in batches. If a model is not listed, it is not yet approved, regardless of showroom availability.
CSD Car Eligibility 2026: Rank-Wise Price Limits
The limit applies to the basic price of the car, excluding tax — not the ex-showroom or on-road figure. Divide ex-showroom by 1.18 for a small car, or by 1.40 for anything larger, to get it.

Since the September 2025 GST reform, compensation cess is no longer charged on cars. It was folded into these two rates, which means the CSD calculation is now a straight halving of a single tax — nothing sits outside the rebate.
What You Still Pay
-
A 0.5% CSD margin on the car's basic price, added to every AFD purchase.
-
Road tax, registration and insurance — state-level charges, identical to what a civilian pays.

The jump between the second and third rows is the whole story. A Nexon and a Creta are both SUVs, but the Nexon sits in the 18% slab and the Creta in the 40% — so the Creta saves nearly three times as much while costing only about 47% more.

Realistic timeline: the LS Order takes 3–4 days, but total delivery runs 3–6 months for most models.
CSD Car Loan
Most public sector banks offer car loans against a CSD purchase, usually at lower rates than a civilian car loan. Apply after you have the Availability Certificate, since the bank will need the exact CSD price.
CSD Car Rules You Must Know Before Booking
-
5-year lock-in. You cannot sell a CSD car in the open market for five years from the date of purchase.
-
One purchase per entitlement cycle. The 8-year clock starts from the purchase date.
-
The cap is on basic price, not ex-showroom. A ₹23.33 lakh Jeep Meridian qualifies for an Officer because its basic price is ₹16,66,429.
-
Not every model is on the AFD list. Check the portal before settling on one.
