Toyota Fortuner Rival Next-Gen Citroen C5 Aircross' Appearance Leaked 2025!

Next-gen Citroen C5 Aircross, the rival of the Toyota Fortuner counterpart, comes to be found featuring a few changes over the existing variant, whose look had leaked across the internet. Citroen initially entered a new field in the Indian marketplace with C5 Aircross back in 2021 and the company has been gearing up the release of a next-gen version in recent times. After its introduction as a concept in October 2024, it appears the SUV is on the cusp of production. The French automaker will most likely unveil the new vehicle by mid-2025, with a potential India launch in the second half of 2025.

Borrowing from Concepts

As per the leaked images, the new Citroen C5 Aircross is not very different from the design of its 2024 concept car, with certain design cues being taken from the 2022 Citroen Oli Concept. The SUV now features smooth surfaces and clean lines, resulting in a modern look. The front fascia has been significantly overhauled, with three-piece C-shaped LED DRLs, inspired by the concept. The bumper has also been redone, making the vehicle look new and bold.

Side Profile and Muscle Appearance

The next-generation C5 Aircross, when looked at from the side, does not show a significant alteration in its overall design. The roofline slopes downward, giving it a floating effect towards the D-pillar. The wheel arch plastic cladding and a defined shoulder line give the SUV a muscular look. Another alteration that can be noticed is the addition of pull-type door handles as compared to flush handles on the concept.

Rear Design Enhancements

The back of the SUV also sees extreme overhauls. The new tail lamps sport the same C-shaped design, and a LED light bar spanning the width of the vehicle. The rear bumper is also given a two-tone treatment and design upgrades, contributing to the overall fresh new face. Interior details, however, are more than likely going to be revealed closer to its official launch date.

Powertrain Expectations

Citroen hasn't yet announced the powertrain options for the next-gen C5 Aircross. However, it is anticipated that the SUV will feature hybrid and electric variants, as it will be underpinned by the firm's STLA Medium platform. More details will be announced by mid-2025.
