Skoda Elroq India Launch: Price, Range, Interior and Full Details Out
Skoda has teased the Elroq for India before. This time feels different. A European EV with VW tech, big range claims, and one question nobody is asking yet.

How many times has Skoda teased an EV for India? Enough times that buyers have stopped counting. But this time it might actually happen. The Skoda Elroq has been showing up at Indian auto expos, dealer training events, and Skoda India social reels for over a year now. Either the marketing team is bluffing again, or the launch is finally close.
Here is what you should know about the Skoda Elroq India launch, price, range, and rivals before you sign for anything else.
Skoda Elroq Launch Date in India and Price
Launch date? Mid-2026 is the working assumption, though some reports stretch to March 2027. Skoda showed the Elroq at the Bharat Mobility Expo 2025 in Delhi, which usually means a launch is 12 to 18 months out.
The Skoda Elroq price in India should sit between ₹25 and ₹35 lakh ex-showroom. On-road, expect ₹28 to ₹40 lakh depending on the city. That is Ioniq 5 money. That is also Atto 3 money. If Skoda undercuts both, the Elroq becomes a proper consideration. If it tries to sit above them, it dies in showrooms. Skoda has done both before.
Skoda Elroq Range, Battery and Charging Speed
Three battery packs are on offer globally. A 52 kWh small one, a 59 kWh middle, and a 77 kWh top. WLTP claims start at 370 km and stretch to 579 km on the top trim.
Before you get excited about 579 km, remember WLTP is the most generous range cycle on the planet. In Indian conditions with the AC blasting at 40 degrees, knock off roughly 25 percent. So 280 km, 320 km, and 430 km depending on the pack you pick. That is the honest version.
The 77 kWh variant, by the way, also throws out 286 PS, 545 Nm, and a 6.6 second 0 to 100. BMW i4 territory, no exaggeration. Fast charging is 175 kW DC. 10 to 80 percent in 28 minutes. That is one coffee.
Skoda Elroq Interior, Features and Design
Step inside and the Skoda Elroq interior is built around a 13-inch floating touchscreen, a fully digital driver display, a head-up display, ambient lighting, ventilated seats, and dual-zone climate. The dashboard is layered, Czech-style, same as the new Superb. Not flashy. Just well put together. Safety is nine airbags, Level 2 ADAS, adaptive cruise, and the usual lane and blind-spot kit.
Outside, the Elroq wears Skoda's Modern Solid design language. Closed butterfly grille, four-piece LED DRLs, LED matrix taillights, 21-inch alloys.
It looks lower and wider than a Kodiaq. Cooler too, honestly. Length is 4,488 mm, wheelbase is 2,765 mm, boot is 470 litres. Family-of-four airport run, easy.
Skoda Elroq Rivals in India: Who It Actually Fights
Who does the Skoda Elroq fight here? Mostly the Hyundai Ioniq 5 and the BYD Atto 3, with the upcoming Kia EV3 in the mix. The Mahindra XEV 9e and the new Tata Sierra EV sit in the same price space, but those are bigger and built for a different buyer.
What sets the Elroq apart is the MEB platform. Same architecture as the Audi Q4 e-tron and the Volkswagen ID.4. You are getting Volkswagen Group tech in a Skoda badge for the price of a Korean EV. If that argument works on you, the Elroq is the one to wait for.
Should You Wait for the Skoda Elroq?
If your budget is ₹25 to ₹35 lakh and you want a European-engineered EV, yes. Bookings should open by mid-2026. Don't lock in an Ioniq 5 deal in October if you can hold till December.
