Facelifted Mahindra Scorpio N 2025 Teased: Safety Tech and New Features

Mahindra has revealed the facelifted model of its best-selling SUV, the Scorpio-N, for 2025. The new generation includes numerous enhancements, such as improved safety features, an increased sunroof, improved interior technology, and an entirely new variant option for buyers.

The highlight of the new features is the Level-2 ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) on the top-of-the-line Z8L model. This safety suite comprises cruise control with automatic speed adjustment, lane-keeping assist, autonomous emergency braking, driver attention assist, and more. This places the Scorpio-N in the league of Mahindra's ADAS-enabled cars, along with offerings such as XUV700, XUV 3XO, and Thar Roxx.

The firm has also introduced a new model called Z8T, which is placed between the Z8 and Z8L models. Although it lacks ADAS, it is equipped with suitable features such as 18-inch sparkling alloy wheels, a 12-speaker Sony sound system, cooled front seats, an electronic handbrake with an automatic hold function, an automatically dimming mirror, and front parking sensors. The Z8T offers customers a feature-loaded option that is priced lower than the Z8L.

The facelifted Scorpio-N now features an expansive panoramic sunroof in place of the previous smaller version. That aside, other standard features such as a 10-inch touchscreen for entertainment, wireless connectivity for Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, and a camera system providing a 360-degree view make the interior more contemporary.

The engine choices remain the same in the new Scorpio-N:

  • 2.0-litre turbo petrol engine (approximately 200 bhp)

  • 2.2-litre turbo diesel engine (approximately 172 bhp)

The engines can be coupled with a 6-speed manual or automatic transmission, and certain variants come with a 4WD drive system.

These changes enable Mahindra to make the Scorpio-N more marketable for Indian and other buyers. Including ADAS is particularly helpful for sale in countries such as Australia, where vehicles are required to include AEB (Automatic Emergency Braking) by regulations.

Prices start at ₹20.29 lakh for the Z8T model and ₹21.35 lakh (excluding taxes and registration) for the Z8L model with ADAS. The Z8L now also costs around ₹46,000 more than the outgoing model due to the new advanced technology features.

The new Scorpio-N is expected to appeal to buyers who require the newest technology, safety features, and spacious interiors. Bookings for the model are already open across India at Mahindra dealerships. With the 2025 upgrades, Mahindra is bringing the Scorpio-N more towards being a premium vehicle, yet without compromising on its ruggedness and aggressive road presence.
