Next-Generation Mahindra Bolero Spotted During Testing in India, Set to Launch on August 15

The new facelifted Mahindra Bolero has been spotted on camera while undergoing road testing in India, flaunting an entirely new design and numerous features improved upon. The firm intends to launch this revised version of the well-liked SUV on August 15, 2025. The new vehicle will provide a fresher feel without losing the rugged, dependable nature that individuals adore.

Spyshots taken in June 2025 reveal a camouflaged Bolero test mule on the roads. These images indicate that the SUV has been fully redesigned. The existing Bolero features a minimalist, work-oriented design, but the new version appears far more premium and feature-loaded.

The test vehicle spied, sported completely new body components, round headlights with projectors, flat door handles, and tall LED rear lights. Overall shape appears robust and square, with good ground clearance and larger wheel areas. The rear sports a spare tire fitted on the side, making it appear classic and rugged.

One of the most significant changes is the huge panoramic sunroof, something that has never been available on a Bolero before. This was easily seen in recent spy photos and indicates a huge upgrade in comfort and luxury for a car that has always been simple in its features.

Mahindra Bolero’s facelift is rumored to be based on Mahindra's NFA (New Flexible Architecture) platform, which will make it safer and more comfortable to drive. Based on this new platform, the new SUV is expected to feature six airbags, a larger touchscreen entertainment system, a part-digital dashboard, and front as well as rear parking help cameras.

Another key anticipated feature is ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems), which could encompass lane-keeping assistance, crash warning systems, and autonomous emergency braking. This would equip the new Bolero with the latest standards of safety and make it a more competitive vehicle.

The new facelifted Mahindra Bolero, from a design perspective, seems to take styling cues from other Mahindra SUVs such as the Scorpio-N and Thar, as well as some luxury SUVs such as the Land Rover Defender and Mercedes G-Class. That blend of rugged looks and premium styling may appeal to more kinds of customers.

Although Mahindra has not made any official release of engine options yet, they can continue with the existing diesel engine with increments for power and fuel efficiency. A petrol engine option is also on the cards, considering that more customers prefer various fuel options.
