BMW X3 is a premium 5-seater luxury SUV that combines sporty performance, a spacious cabin and BMW’s xDrive all-wheel-drive system. In India, the X3 is available with petrol and diesel powertrain options and is offered in multiple variants.
Engine and Performance
BMW X3 is available with both petrol and diesel mild-hybrid powertrains. The X3 xDrive 20 gets a 1,998cc four-cylinder turbo-petrol engine producing around 187 bhp and 310 Nm, while the X3 xDrive 30 uses the same 2.0-litre petrol engine in a higher state of tune, developing 255 bhp and 400 Nm. The X3 xDrive 20d gets a 1,995cc four-cylinder diesel engine producing 194 bhp and 400 Nm.
All variants come with an 8-speed automatic transmission and BMW's xDrive all-wheel-drive system. The X3 xDrive 20 can accelerate from 0-100 kmph in around 7.8 seconds, while the X3 xDrive 30 takes around 6.3 seconds.
Mileage and Fuel Tank
BMW X3 delivers an ARAI-rated mileage of around 13.38 kmpl for the xDrive 20 petrol, 14.61 kmpl for the xDrive 30 petrol and 17.86 kmpl for the xDrive 20d diesel. The 48V mild-hybrid system helps improve efficiency and provides smoother performance.
Exterior Design
