Toyota Rumion E Trim Launched with Rs 95,000 Price Discount

Toyota's new Rs 9.56 lakh Rumion saves you Rs 95,000. But it also leaves out rear AC vents and a music system entirely. Is the compromise worth it?

Toyota Rumion E Trim Launched with Rs 95,000 Price Discount

Toyota has made its Rumion MPV more affordable. A new entry-level E trim launches at Rs 9.56 lakh (ex-showroom). This is a significant price cut. It undercuts the previous base model by Rs 95,000.

What The Rumion New E Trim Gets

The E trim is a barebones entry offering. It focuses on essential safety and basic functionality. Standard safety kit includes six airbags. Rear parking sensors and hill hold assist are also included.

Exterior features include projector halogen headlights. LED taillights and 15-inch steel wheels are fitted. All four power windows are provided. That is where the comfort features end.

What The E Trim Misses

The cost savings come from deletions. There is no entertainment system at all. No screen, no speakers.

Rear passengers get no AC vents. This is a crucial miss in a family MPV. Powered ORVMs are absent. The inside rearview mirror is manually adjustable. No automatic transmission option is offered. CNG fuel option is also not available.

Powertrain of Toyota Rumion

Power comes from a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine. It produces 103 hp. Transmission is a 5-speed manual only. This is the sole powertrain combination for the E trim.

A Question of Compromise

The E trim drops the entry price significantly. But the deletions are substantial. Is saving Rs 95,000 worth giving up rear AC vents and a music system entirely? For fleet operators and budget-focused buyers, possibly yes.

For family buyers, the S trim might still be the smarter choice. It adds essential comfort features for a relatively small premium. Toyota has made the Rumion more accessible. The new E trim brings MPV ownership within closer reach.
