Next-Gen Jeep Compass And Compass EV Debuts

The all-new Jeep Compass has debuted globally with a new, bolder styling and improved features. Premiered in Europe, the 2025 Compass is based on the newly developed STLA Medium platform of Stellantis, designed to accommodate hybrid, plug-in hybrid, and battery-electric powertrains. With this fresh foundation, Jeep is charting the Compass nameplate into a world of sustainable mobility and advanced engineering.

Visually, the 2025 Compass receives a more rugged and upright stance. At the front, the brand’s iconic seven-slat grille appears in a closed-off form, flanked by rectangular LED headlamps with vertical DRLs. The SUV also features a redesigned bumper and a blacked-out lower section. The side profile is muscular with squared wheel arches, 20-inch dual-tone alloy wheels, and black roof rails. At the rear, the SUV sports connected tail-lamps with a bold black housing and a new illuminated ‘Jeep’ logo at the centre. The updated Compass also offers a larger 550-litre boot space, 45 litres more than the previous model.

Inside the cabin, the Jeep has an all-black layout featuring a layered dashboard highlighted by a thick silver strip. A 16-inch touchscreen takes center stage, complemented by a new 3-spoke steering wheel and slim air vents. An exquisite rotary dial takes center position in the middle console, accompanied by a tidy layout and other stowage areas. A panoramic sunroof has also been added to the new Compass, which works to heighten the cabin's high-quality feel and daylight.

Although the performance figures are not revealed, Jeep has confirmed that the new Compass will come in hybrid, plug-in hybrid, and electric versions. Surprisingly, the conventional four-wheel-drive system will be employed only by the EV version, and the hybrid and petrol cars are said to be rear-wheel drive. Jeep notified, "This next-generation Compass will be manufactured in Melfi, Italy, and exported to the world's other markets from there." Its launch in India is not yet reported, but rumors are that it will be here by 2026.
