MG Aims to Launch Cyberster Electric Roadster in India
MG’s all-electric Cyberster roadster is set to debut in India with stunning design, thrilling performance, and a premium EV experience.

MG Motor is preparing to bring the Cyberster, its first electric sports car, to India in the second half of 2025. The vehicle will have a likely price tag of ₹80-85 lakh (excluding taxes and registration) and will be retailed as a complete import model via MG's new premium retail network called MG Select. The vehicle can already be booked for ₹51,000.
The Cyberster is a combination of speed, new technology, and electric power in one car. The car features two electric motors that combine to make 510 horsepower and 725 Nm of torque, enabling the vehicle to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.2 seconds. The vehicle is powered by a 77 kWh battery that has enough power to drive the car up to 443 kilometers on a full charge using international testing methodologies. It also offers rapid charging, so it is ideal for commuting in the city and long-distance driving.
The vehicle appears impressive with doors that swing up like scissors, sleek LED headlights, and a soft top that can be folded down. The interior is equipped with three screens - a central 10.25-inch screen and two tiny ones for the driver, as well as internet connectivity and premium materials. The aim is to offer a tech-dense, high-performance driving experience that remains usable on a day-to-day basis.
By introducing the Cyberster, MG is foraying into India's luxury electric vehicle space. It is cheaper than luxury rivals like the BMW Z4 M40i but will directly compete with performance electric vehicles like the Kia EV6 GT and BYD Seal, along with the benefit of being a convertible.
