October – the month of festivals is going to be remembered for some of the best car launches of the year 2025.

Mahindra, Skoda, Audi – all are set to add sparkle in this season. Below are the details of the best new launches along with their specifications. 

Mahindara Thar Facelift

On 3rd October – Mahindra is going to launch their modified Thar. Launched back in 2020 – The Mahindra Thar is uplifting its legacy. 

Since its launch, the Mahindra Thar has sold over 3 lakh units. And with the new facelift features, it is expected that sales will blow up incredibly. This upgraded version of the Mahindra Thar will be priced between 12 lakhs – 18 lakhs.

Redesigned front grille with double-stacked (horizontal) slats inspired by the Thar Roxx; C-shaped LED projector headlights & DRLs; revised front bumper; new alloy wheels; flared wheel arches; updated tail lamps and rear bumper.

Dimensions likely similar to current model (≈ 3,985 mm length, 1,820 mm width, 1,844 mm height) to retain its compact off-road stance; retains body-on-frame ladder-chassis construction.

• 2.0-L turbo-petrol (~152 hp) in manual and auto, RWD/4WD options

• 1.5-L turbo-diesel (~116-119 hp, 4×2)

Transmissions: 6-speed manual standard; automatic option in petrol & 2.2-L diesel versions.

Interior & Features

Upgraded cabin with a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system; possibly a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster; steering wheel borrowed from the Roxx; power window switches moved to door panels; wireless charging; ambient lighting; A-pillar grab handles; more premium trim and materials.

Safety & Tech

Expected inclusion of 6 airbags across trims; tyre pressure monitoring; 360-degree camera; electronic stability control, hill start / hill descent control; improved safety hardware like strengthened rear shackles, front tow‐hook; upgraded steering (electric power steering in some reports).

Skoda Octavia RS

Booking starting from 6th October – the Skoda Octavia RS will be launched on 17th October this year. This luxury car is a full package of style, advanced tech, and serious engine power – and will only release 100 units – price starting from 44,60,000.

Audi Q6 e-tron

Audi will sparkle this October with the long awaited launch of the Audi Q6 e-tron. Although the exact date hasn’t been confirmed by them. It is estimated that the launch will take place before Diwali.
