2026 Tata Punch EV Facelift Vs Pre-Facelift: What's New?
The new Tata Punch EV offers more range and more power. But the biggest shock is its new price. See how it beats the old model in every way.

Tata has launched the updated Tata Punch EV facelift. While it looks familiar, the changes underneath are significant. The facelift brings new battery packs, more range, and a lower price. Here is exactly what has changed and what hasn't.
2026 Tata Punch EV Facelift Vs Pre-Facelift
Exterior: Subtle Updates
The front has been cleaned up. The connected LED light bar is gone. New LED DRLs sit at the edges. The bumper gets a larger air dam and textured silver skid plate. The charging port remains in the same spot. It now looks cleaner and more minimalist.
Side profile is unchanged. You still get the same 16-inch alloy wheels and 'Tata.ev' badges. The rear gets the biggest visual update. Connected LED tail lamps are now featured, matching the ICE Punch.
A revised bumper completes the look. Ground clearance increases slightly to 195 mm.
Interior: Familiar But Refreshed
The cabin layout remains largely identical. The dual-tone theme is now grey and white instead of black and white.
The 10.25-inch infotainment screen continues. The two-spoke illuminated steering wheel is carried over. Rear seat space is unchanged. Upholstery gets refreshed colour shades.
New toggle-style power window switches are added. These improve convenience.
Features: Small Additions
Most features are carried over. The 10.25-inch touchscreen, digital display, and ventilated seats remain.
New additions include OTA updates. Voice commands now support six languages. Smartwatch connectivity is added. A blind-spot monitor is now available.
A new high-beam feature alert is included. Safety kit remains identical with six airbags and 360-degree camera.
Powertrain: The Big Change
This is where the facelift transforms. The old 25 kWh and 35 kWh packs are replaced. New 30 kWh and 40 kWh batteries are introduced. Claimed range jumps significantly.
The 30 kWh pack delivers 365-375 km range. The 40 kWh pack offers 468 km range. Power increases to 88 PS and 129 PS. Torque is now 154 Nm on both variants. Acceleration improves. The 40 kWh model now does 0-100 km/h in 9 seconds, half a second quicker than before.
Price: The Biggest Surprise
Despite more range and features, prices have dropped. The Punch EV now starts at ₹9.69 lakh (ex-showroom). The top variant is priced at ₹12.59 lakh. That is a reduction of around ₹2.5-3 lakh over the pre-facelift model. BaaS pricing is also available from ₹6.49 lakh.
End Note
The facelifted Punch EV offers genuine upgrades. More range, better performance, and a lower price. The design changes are subtle but effective. The interior remains largely familiar.
Tata has delivered more car for less money. That is a rare and welcome combination in today's market.
If you were waiting for the Punch EV, the wait has paid off. The 2026 facelift is the one to buy.
