2026 Skoda Slavia Facelift Spied Testing on Indian Roads

Skoda is readying a facelift for its popular sedan. The updated Slavia has been spotted testing on Indian roads.

The changes will mirror the recently unveiled Kushaq facelift. Expect a sharper look and key mechanical updates.

Skoda Slavia Facelift Design

The front gets a new aggressive bumper. Skoda Slavia features a larger lower air dam with sharper detailing.

LED headlights will have updated internals. The grille now integrates lighting elements. The side profile remains mostly unchanged. New alloy wheel designs are expected.

At the rear, expect connected LED taillamps. The bumper design will also see minor revisions.

Interior and Features of Skoda Slavia

The dashboard layout stays similar. However, a new 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster is now visible in test mules.

The infotainment screen is expected to be updated. An AI assistant may be added.

Rear massaging seats and dual-colour ambient lighting are likely additions. The panoramic sunroof will not be offered. The Slavia will continue with its single-pane unit.

Safety updates may include front parking sensors. All-wheel disc brakes are expected to be standard.

Powertrain Changes in Skoda Slavia

The 1-litre turbo-petrol engine gets a new gearbox. It will now be offered with an 8-speed torque converter automatic. This replaces the older 6-speed unit.

The 1.5-litre turbo-petrol continues with the 7-speed DCT. Manual options will remain available on both engines.

Power and torque figures remain unchanged. The 1-litre makes 115 PS and 178 Nm. The 1.5-litre delivers 150 PS and 250 Nm.

A Question of Timing

The Slavia facelift arrives nearly a year after the Kushaq. This delay raises a practical question for buyers.

If you need a new car now, do you wait? Or do you buy the current model with known discounts? Skoda's staggered update strategy forces this exact decision.

Launch and Rivals of Skoda Slavia

Skoda will launch the Slavia facelift between October and December 2026. Prices are expected to range from ₹12 lakh to ₹20 lakh (ex-showroom).

It will continue to rival the Volkswagen Virtus, Honda City, and Hyundai Verna.

The updated Slavia promises to refine an already competent package. The new automatic gearbox and digital cluster are genuine upgrades. Decide if they are worth waiting for.
