Does the 2025 Tata Harrier EV have more benefits over the Mahindra BE6?

The 2025 Tata Harrier EV is the latest entry to the mid-size SUV market, which is an all-electric vehicle. The car, though, has tough rivals already present in the market, like the Mahindra BE6 EV. The car has a 5-star safety rating in the Bharat NCAP crash tests. But, the Tata Harrier EV with these 7 additional features keeps the Mahindra BE6 back in the race.

Dual Electric Motors with All-wheel Drive Setup

A sports car-like rear-wheel drive setup makes the Mahindra BE6 a very sturdy option, but the Tata Harrier EV gets an all-wheel drive setup. This is possible thanks to the dual motors present, one on each axle. The Tata Harrier EV offers driving and terrain modes, thus making it a favourable ride on rough roads.

Rear Seat Boss Mode

Powered front seats are a common feature in many Indian cars, including the Mahindra BE6. Additionally, this car also offers a memory function for the driver’s seat. However, the Tata Harrier EV has an electronic booster for the co-driver's seat, similar to the driver's seat, which makes it superior to these characteristics. This tech feature makes it easy to make extra legroom for the rear seat passengers by electronically moving the front seat forward.

Digital IRVM with Dash Cam

One of the standout features of the Tata Harrier EV is an electronic inside rearview mirror (IRVM). To provide a clear live footage of the back traffic, even with a full cabin/boot, the camera of the mirror is smartly positioned on the roof of the car. The rearview mirror serves two purposes since it also functions as a dashboard camera.

On the other hand, the Mahindra BE6 has a dashcam with an auto-dimming IRVM.

Transparent Mode

The transparent mode, that comes with the Harrier EV, provides a 540-degree camera configuration, going beyond providing a 360-degree perspective of the vehicle. This particular feature provides a further perspective of the ground beneath the SUV's hood. In contrast, the BE 6 has a standard 360-degree camera with blind spot identification but no underbody perspective.

Summon Mode

Harrier EV has the summon mode, which enables one to move the car ahead or behind with the key fob. It also includes a reverse assist feature that can automatically retrace the previous 50 meters of your drive by remembering the same. The reverse memory function is absent from the BE 6. Automated parking is a feature common for both vehicles.

Larger Display

The BE 6 has a 12.3-inch touchscreen, while the Harrier EV has a bigger 14.5-inch QLED touchscreen infotainment system. Both the car’s systems include integrated navigation and can wirelessly connect to Apple CarPlay/Android Auto.

Terrain Modes

The Tata Harrier EV features the terrain mode, which includes: Normal, Mud Ruts, Rock Crawl, Sand, Snow/Grass, and a Custom choice. The BE 6, in contrast, only has three drive modes: Range, Everyday, and Race.
