Volkswagen Virtus Achieves Record Sales in October 2025

In October 2025, Volkswagen sold 2,453 units of the Virtus. This is the sedan's best monthly performance since its launch in 2022.

This milestone solidifies its lead in the mid-size sedan segment. The Virtus has now been the segment's top seller for over a year.

A Key Part of VW's India Strategy

The Virtus is a cornerstone of Volkswagen's India 2.0 plan. Alongside the Taigun SUV, these two models have collectively sold over 160,000 units in the country.

The brand director credited the car's success to its strong design, performance, and safety package. This formula has clearly resonated with Indian buyers.

The Quiet Sedan Comeback

While SUVs dominate headlines, sedans are making a steady comeback. The premium sedan segment grew by nearly 18% in the last financial year.

Models like the Virtus, Honda City, and Hyundai Verna are leading this revival. Premium sedans now account for 8-9% of passenger car sales.

A Comprehensive Variant Lineup

The Virtus's wide appeal is supported by its extensive variant list. It is currently offered in 14 different versions.
