MG Windsor EV Pro Launch on May 6: Enhanced Range Unveiled

MG Motor India will launch the upgraded version of its electric MPV, the MG Windsor EV Pro, on May 6, 2025. The new variant will introduce many range, tech, and design upgrades over the existing Windsor EV, capitalizing on the current model's success. The company has officially released a teaser announcing major upgrades, bringing the Pro variant much closer to its global equivalent, the Wuling Cloud EV.

One of the big new additions to the MG Windsor EV Pro is the upgraded 50.6 kWh battery with increased capacity, which is guaranteed to have a staggering single-charge range of up to 460 km, much higher than the present 38 kWh battery with an estimated range of 332 km. The increased capacity battery will go some way towards filling the demand for greater range-based electric cars in India.

The teaser has also stated something on the addition of Level-2 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), featuring functionalities such as lane drift warning and autonomous emergency braking, as an added aspect of safety and convenience. Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) technology, another prominent improvement, makes it possible for the vehicle to power external gadgets, a trend rapidly turning into an industry standard for EV usage. The cabin also receives a complete overhaul with the twin-tone black and copper interior, enhanced by premium features in the form of brown trimmings, a 15.6-inch touchscreen infotainment screen, front ventilated seats, rear 135-degree reclining seats, a fixed glass roof, and 256-colour ambient lighting.

On the exterior, MG Windsor EV Pro will feature new patterns on alloy wheels and a powered tailgate to provide improved appearance and utility to the electric MPV. Windsor EV Pro would be positioned as a spacious, technology-packed, and value-oriented family car model in the rising EV segment by MG.

The Windsor EV Pro will be launched on May 6, 2025, and other details including the price and variant-wise specifications, will be released on the day of the event. MG Motor's continued quest for localisation and innovation is seen in the Windsor EV Pro, one of the ones to watch out for in India's evolving electric car market.
