MG Hector Petrol Variants Now Compliant with E20!

The MG Hector and MG Hector Plus petrol models now have official approval from India's government for E20 fuel use. This makes them the second MG vehicle after the Astor to meet this required standard. All MG Hector petrol variants made after March 31, 2025, will work with E20 fuel. The company plans to keep prices the same.

Why E20 Fuel?

The E20 fuel is a mixture of 20% ethanol and 80% petrol. This is a greener, more sustainable fuel compared to just fuel. With this upgrade, MG Motors is showing its commitment to cleaner mobility while maintaining the Hector’s strong market presence in the mid-size SUV segment.

The E20-compatible petrol models are now available with both a 6-speed manual transmission and a CVT gearbox, with prices starting at ₹13.99 lakh (ex-showroom).

The MG Hector Overview

There are two engine options with the MG Hector. The 1.5-liter turbo petrol engine makes 141 horsepower and 250 Nm of torque, showcasing exceptional performance. There's also a 2.0-liter diesel option that produces 168 horsepower and 350 Nm of torque, which only comes with a 6-speed manual transmission.

One can buy the Hector in six different versions: Style, Shine Pro, Select Pro, Smart Pro, Sharp Pro, and Savvy Pro. It's available as either a five-seat or seven-seat vehicle.

Hector has many nice features, including a tall 14-inch touchscreen that works with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. It also has front seats that can be cooled, mood lighting with eight colors, a large glass roof that opens, and a fully digital dashboard display.

Shop and Travel

The company's ongoing “Midnight Carnival” campaign is offering benefits worth up to ₹4 lakh, including an extended warranty and additional Roadside Assistance, ensuring up to five years of hassle-free ownership. Additionally, 20 lucky customers stand a chance to win a dream trip to London through a limited-period lucky draw.
