Mahindra XUV700 AX7 AWD Variant Price Drop to ₹24.99 Lakh

Mahindra has reduced the price of the XUV700 AX7 Diesel Automatic Luxury Pack AWD by ₹2 lakh. The model, previously priced at ₹26.99 lakh, is now priced at ₹24.99 lakh (ex-showroom). This price hike is a big change for buyers who want to own an all-wheel-drive SUV with high-end features, particularly in the mid-size SUV market.

The Mahindra XUV700 AX7 AWD trim features a strong 2.2-litre mHawk diesel engine with a 6-speed torque converter automatic gearbox. This engine makes 182 bhp and 450 Nm of maximum torque. The AWD system in this trim gives improved grip and stability on demanding roads, which makes it well-suited for customers in hilly areas or for people who want off-road capability in a family car. The model is also equipped with a plethora of premium features such as a panoramic sunroof, Sony 3D surround sound system, ADAS Level 2 suite, 360-degree camera, and a dual 10.25-inch infotainment and instrument cluster arrangement.

This trim is placed at the highest end of the XUV700 range, featuring the complete luxury pack in a 7-seater format. The price reduction should enhance its attractiveness to buyers who earlier felt the AWD variant was a bit beyond their budget. Yet, Mahindra has not officially stated if this price reduction is a permanent change or part of a limited-period promotion.

The XUV700 has been a favorite in the segment ever since its introduction, prided upon its combination of performance, safety, and technology. With this fresh price revision, the AWD model becomes a competing proposition in the ₹25 lakh SUV space, potentially stealing eyeballs away from the competition that is not offering all-wheel-drive capability in comparable trim levels.
