Mahindra SUV Price Cut Rs 4 Lakh Discount

Mahindra is playing hardball in the electric SUV game! They've just dropped prices by a hefty Rs 4 lakh on their XEV 9e and BE 6 models. What's the deal? It looks like a direct response to Tata's new Harrier.ev, which is making waves in the electric vehicle (EV) market.

Here's the lowdown. Mahindra is now offering its bigger 79kWh battery pack on lower-spec "Pack 2" versions of both SUVs. Previously, this longer-range battery was only available on the top-end models. Now, you can get a BE 6 with that battery for around Rs 25 lakh (on-road, Mumbai), a significant saving. The XEV 9e sees an even bigger price cut.

Why the move? Simple competition. Tata’s Harrier.ev offers impressive features and all-wheel drive at a very competitive price. Mahindra needed to react, and this price adjustment is a smart way to stay in the fight.

That 79kWh battery is a big deal. It powers electric motors producing 282bhp and 380Nm, giving you a real-world range of over 500km. That's enough to ease range anxiety for most drivers.

The lower-priced "Pack 2" versions still offer a good level of equipment. Mahindra hasn’t skimped on features just to cut costs. This is a canny move by Mahindra. It keeps their EVs competitive, offers buyers more choice, and sends a clear message to Tata that they're not backing down in the electric SUV race. Expect more exciting moves in this space as manufacturers battle for EV supremacy.
