Audi India is bringing serious firepower to the luxury SUV segment. The German carmaker will launch the performance-focused SQ8 on March 17, 2026. Powerful V8 Performance
The SQ8 shares its heart with the RS Q8. It uses the same 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 petrol engine. Output is dialled down to a still-massive 500-507 bhp and 770 Nm of torque. That is considerably more than the standard Q8's 3.0-litre V6.
An 8-speed automatic transmission sends power to all four wheels via Audi's Quattro system. The 0-100 km/h sprint takes just 4.1 seconds.
Distinctive Exterior Design
The SQ8 gets its own visual identity. A signature singleframe grille features a matte silver finish.
Matrix LED headlamps light the way. Silver accents appear on the roof rails, window lining, and front bumper inserts.

The SQ8 will be offered in a single, fully loaded variant. Expected pricing is around ₹1.9 crore (ex-showroom). This positions it between the standard Q8 at ₹1.13 crore and the RS Q8 at ₹2.34 crore. It offers a compelling middle path for V8 enthusiasts.
A Question of Positioning
The SQ8 sits in an interesting space. It offers the same engine as the RS Q8 but with less power.
