All-New Skoda Kodiaq 2025 India Launch Teased – Here's What to Expect

Skoda is heating up the Indian SUV stakes by teasing the second-generation Kodiaq, before its highly anticipated launch. Recently revealed at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025, the new Kodiaq is poised to make waves with a more aggressive design, latest technology, and major overhauls inside and out.

Skoda India quietly pulled the previous-gen Kodiaq from its website earlier this year, sparking speculation. Now the tease confirms what we have all been waiting for the next generation flagship SUV is just around the corner.

What’s New in the 2025 Skoda Kodiaq?

The 2025 Skoda Kodiaq now stretches to 4,758mm, making it slightly longer than its predecessor. It gets a sharper front fascia with vertical slat grilles, slim LED headlamps, and a redesigned bumper. The rear features C-shaped wraparound tail lamps and bold Skoda lettering across the tailgate – a design trend we’re loving lately.

Step Inside: Futuristic Cabin Loaded with Tech

Skoda has fully committed to the premium experience within the new Kodiaq. Major interior highlights are:

• 13-inch touchscreen infotainment system (now operates most cabin functions)

• 10-inch Virtual Cockpit for an all-digital driving experience

• New steering column-mounted gear selector – releasing space on the center console

• Premium fit-and-finish and refined layout

Look for comfort, connectivity, and convenience to be class-leading throughout.

Performance That Packs a Punch

Under the bonnet, the new Skoda Kodiaq will be driven by a 2.0-litre, four-cylinder turbo-petrol engine churning out 188 hp and 320 Nm of torque. This comes mated to a 7-speed DSG automatic transmission that drives all four wheels.

The Kodiaq is available in both five- and seven-seat configurations globally, but India will get only the 7-seater model – perfect for families or road trip enthusiasts.

Launch Timeline and Expectations

Although Skoda has not announced an official launch date the recent teaser and Expo display indicate that the launch may take place in the next few weeks. With its features that are more premium, more aggressive design, and better performance the new Kodiaq is expected to rival big players such as the Toyota Fortuner, Hyundai Tucson, and Volkswagen Tiguan.
