2025 Hyundai Venue New vs Old Detailed Comparison

Hyundai has just pulled the covers off the new-generation Venue. And it’s not just a simple update. This is a complete head-to-toe makeover that makes the old model look, well, old. Let's dive in and see what’s new, what’s improved, and why it matters to you.

A Front End That Demands Attention

The first thing you’ll notice is the face. The new Venue gets a sleek, futuristic look with full-width LED DRLs that blend seamlessly into C-shaped headlights. It’s a massive shift from the older model’s separate DRLs and rounded grille.

This new design, inspired by the larger Alcazar, gives the Venue a more confident and rugged SUV stance, complete with a bold skid plate. It’s a design that promises more presence on the road.

A Side Profile with Sharper Style

From the side, the new Venue looks more sculpted and athletic. Hyundai has traded the softer curves for sharper creases and more squared-off wheel arches. The new 5-spoke alloy wheels aren't just for show—they’re aerodynamically designed.

Taller roof rails and a slick silver finish on the C-pillar further enhance its modern, tough-guy look.

A Rear That Looks More Premium

The rear of the new Venue is arguably the biggest upgrade. While both models have connected tail lights, the new versions are sleeker and integrated into a black panel that proudly embosses the ‘VENUE’ name.

Paired with a chunkier bumper and a prominent silver skid plate, the overall effect is more premium and substantial. It no longer looks like a small SUV from the back.

Step Inside a Completely New Cabin

This is where the old and new Venue feel generations apart. Forget the rounded, conservative dashboard of the current model. The new cabin is a masterpiece of modern design.

The star of the show is the stunning curved screen setup, combining a 12.3-inch digital driver’s display and a 12.3-inch infotainment system. It’s a feature you’d expect in cars costing much more. The centre console is redesigned, the AC vents are new, and moonstone white ambient lighting adds a cool, sophisticated glow.

You also get a chunkier, three-spoke steering wheel (with a cool Morse code 'H' instead of a logo) and a fresh blue and grey interior theme that feels airy and upmarket.

Your Comfort is a Priority

Hyundai didn’t just upgrade the tech. They focused on making every journey more comfortable. The big news is the addition of ventilated front seats, a blessing in our summers.

For rear passengers, the seats now have a 2-step recline and sunshades have been added. It’s these thoughtful touches that make daily drives and long trips so much better.

The Tech and Safety Leap

The new Venue is packed with segment-leading features. You’re getting a Bose sound system for a concert-like experience, a 360-degree camera for stress-free parking, and an upgraded suite of Level-2 ADAS for an extra pair of eyes on the road.

Safety is top-notch with 6 airbags, Electronic Stability Control (ESC), and a Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) expected to be standard.

What About the Engines?

Hyundai is sticking with the proven formula under the hood. You can still choose from the 1.2-litre petrol, the peppy 1.0-litre turbo-petrol, and the 1.5-litre diesel engine.

The only significant update is for diesel lovers—it will now be available with a smooth 6-speed torque converter automatic, making it a more relaxed city driver.

What’s the Price Difference?

The new Hyundai Venue will come with a slightly higher price tag, and for good reason. With a complete design overhaul, a massive tech upgrade including the curved screens and Bose audio, and the addition of features like ventilated seats and 360-degree camera, you are getting a significantly better vehicle.

While the current Venue N Line ranges from Rs 7.26 lakh to Rs 12.46 lakh (ex-showroom), we expect the new model to start from around Rs 8 lakh and go up to Rs 14 lakh. When you see the sheer volume of improvements, the increase in price feels completely justified for the value you receive.

END Note

The new Hyundai Venue isn’t just a facelift; it’s a statement. It has leapfrogged its rivals in design, technology, and premium feel. If you’ve been considering a compact SUV, the 2025 Venue has just made your decision a whole lot more interesting.
