MG Majestor Unveiled in India with an Estimated Price of Rs 50L

MG Motor India has unveiled the Majestor, a significantly upgraded version of the Gloster. This full-size SUV adopts a far more rugged and aggressive design language. Bookings are now open, with deliveries scheduled to begin in May 2026.

MG Majestor Redesigned Exterior

The Majestor replaces the Gloster's elegant chrome with a bold, dominating stance. It gets a massive gloss-black grille that instantly enhances road presence. A split headlamp setup features slim LED DRLs positioned above and main LED headlamps integrated into the bumper. A chunky satin silver skid plate and front parking sensors complete the aggressive front profile.

MG Majestor Side Profile Retains Muscular Proportions

The silhouette closely resembles the Gloster but appears longer. A strong shoulder line runs across the length of the SUV. Chunky body cladding and wheel arches emphasize its boxy, full-size stance. New 19-inch alloy wheels fill the arches well. Gloss-black finishes replace most chrome elements.

MG Majestor Rear Gets Connected LED Taillights

A redesigned, flatter tailgate houses a new connected LED taillight setup. The rear bumper features thick cladding, a chunky skid plate, and vertical reflectors. Twin exhaust outlets add a sporty touch. Large 'MAJESTOR' badging ensures the SUV stands out prominently.

Modern and Premium Cabin

The dashboard layout is clean with a black and grey colour scheme. A free-standing 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system takes centre stage. Rectangular AC vents sit below with intuitive toggle-style controls. The driver gets a fully digital instrument cluster and a 3-spoke steering wheel with paddle shifters.

MG Majestor Offers 6-Seater and 7-Seater Layouts

The 6-seater version features large, plush captain seats in the second row. These seats are ventilated and offer a massaging function. Rear passengers get a dedicated air purification display, charging ports, and a separate temperature zone.

Packed with Premium Features

Key highlights include a 12-speaker JBL sound system and connected car technology. Front seats offer 12-way power adjustment with ventilation and massage. A panoramic sunroof, multi-colour ambient lighting, dual wireless chargers, three-zone automatic climate control, and a powered tailgate are all part of the package.

Safety Includes Level 2 ADAS

The SUV comes equipped with six airbags, electronic stability control, and a tyre pressure monitoring system. Front and rear parking sensors, a 360-degree camera, and hill hold assist are standard. A full advanced driver assistance system (ADAS) suite is also included.

MG Majestor Powertrain Delivers Class-Leading Power

It is powered by a 2-litre twin-turbo diesel engine. This unit produces 215 PS and a massive 478 Nm of torque. It is paired exclusively with an 8-speed torque converter automatic transmission. Rear-wheel drive and four-wheel drive layouts are available.

4WD Variant is Off-Road Ready

The four-wheel drive version features 10 selectable off-road modes. It offers triple differential locks and an 810 mm water wading depth. This makes the Majestor equally capable on highways and challenging terrain.

MG Majestor to Rival Fortuner, Kodiaq, and Tayron

The SUV will be offered in two variants: Sharp and Savvy. The Sharp is available with both RWD and 4WD. The Savvy is 4WD only. Expected pricing is around ₹50 lakh (ex-showroom). Its direct rivals include the Toyota Fortuner Legender, Skoda Kodiaq, Jeep Meridian, and the upcoming Volkswagen Tayron R-Line.
