Jeep Meridian Track Edition Launched at Rs 35.95 Lakh in India

Jeep has introduced a new special edition of its Meridian SUV. The Meridian Track Edition is now on sale in India. It is based on the fully loaded Overland trim. This limited-run model follows the same recipe as the Compass Track Edition.

Jeep Meridian Track Edition Price

The Track Edition comes in two variants. Both carry a premium over the standard Overland. The automatic FWD variant is priced at ₹35.95 lakh. The automatic AWD variant costs ₹37.82 lakh. These prices are ex-showroom pan-India. An additional mandatory AXS pack of ₹9,200 applies. Both variants are ₹34,000 more expensive than the corresponding Overland models.

What's Different Outside

The Track Edition gets cosmetic updates only. The grille now has a piano black finish. ORVM housings and exterior badging also get the black treatment. A special 'Track Edition' decal sits on the hood. There is a 'Track Edition' badge on the bootlid. The SUV rides on 18-inch dual-tone alloy wheels.

Interior Changes in Jeep Meridian Track Edition

Inside, the cabin features a dual-tone black and tan theme. The dashboard gets a suede finish. Leatherette seat upholstery is standard. 'Track Edition' embossing appears on the co-driver dashboard side and floor mats. The 140 mm sliding second-row seats are carried over. These were introduced with the MY26 updates.

Features, Safety, and Powertrain

Feature list remains identical to the Overland trim. It includes a 10.1-inch touchscreen, digital driver's display, and panoramic sunroof. Twelve-way power front seats with ventilation are offered. A nine-speaker Alpine audio system and powered tailgate are included.

Safety kit includes six airbags and Level 2 ADAS. A 360-degree camera is also standard.

Power comes from the familiar 2-litre diesel engine. It produces 170 PS and 350 Nm of torque. Transmission is a 9-speed automatic only. Both front-wheel-drive and all-wheel-drive options are available. The manual gearbox is not offered on this edition.

A Question of Value

The Track Edition costs ₹34,000 more than the Overland. All changes are purely cosmetic. There are no mechanical or feature upgrades. This raises a simple question for buyers.

Is a black grille and special badging worth the extra cost? For some, the exclusive look will justify the premium. For others, the standard Overland remains the smarter buy.

The Jeep Meridian Track Edition adds a touch of sporty style to the three-row SUV. It is a limited-run model for those who want to stand out.
